Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an NDT Eddy Current ET II Technician, full-time, on-site in Trainer, PA. The ideal candidate inspection experience of metal tubing in heat exchangers and boilers using eddy current testing, to detect flaws without tube damage and prevent equipment failures.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for UT, RT, MT or PT.
• Prior certification as an NDE Level II with 1 year experience or Level I with adequate field hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A on UT/RT/MT/PT.
• Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred.
• 40-hour Radiation Safety Course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
• Supervise trainees and Level I personnel as certified.

Description

MISTRAS Group is seeking a qualified NDT Eddy Current ET II Technician, full-time, in Trainer, PA. The ideal candidate will have prior experience inspecting metal tubing—primarily in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, chillers, and similar equipment—using eddy current testing. The job is to detect flaws without damaging the tubes, helping prevent equipment failures and unplanned shutdowns.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate equipment.

• Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel.

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for one or all of the following is required: UT, RT, MT or PT.
• Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on all or one (1) of the following is required; UT, RT, MT or PT.
• Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
• Completion of a forty (40) hour Radiation Safety Course preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
