Job summary

Scientific Safety Alliance in Ponce, Puerto Rico, seeks an NDT Drafter & Inspection Specialist. This entry‑level engineering role blends technical drafting with hands‑on field inspection, focusing on NDT and Mechanical Integrity. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; prior NDT experience is not required.

You will prepare drawings from inspection data, support inspection reporting, and help deliver complete client documentation. Training will lead to NDT certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
• Willingness to complete company-required NDT training and certifications.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication (written and verbal).
• Travel readiness and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update technical drawings from field inspection data.
• Develop tank drawings, piping isometrics, and drawings for equipment.
• Review inspection data, measurements, photos, and field findings.
• Prepare tables and documentation for inspection reports.
• Carry out calculations related to inspection results.
• Identify missing information required for drawings/reports.
• Support final client deliverables and KPI tracking.
• Maintain accurate technical records.
