Job summary

Acuren is recruiting NDT Assistants to support operations in Portland, Oregon. Local candidates are preferred. You will assist in calibrations, nondestructive testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions and by recording results.

Candidates with completed NDT classroom hours are preferred. You will set up NDT equipment, aid Radiographers in calibration, and help conduct tests to detect defects using NDT techniques, while adhering to federal and state

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Must have background check clearance as required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist in performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
