Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Lynwood, CA is seeking an NDT Trainee for a full-time, first-shift role (6am - 2:30pm). The position involves participating in a structured training program for an NDT method under the supervision of Level 2/3, with no independent testing or decision-making.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Shall be documented as a trainee and be actively participating in a training program for a stated NDT method for a limited and specified period of time as shown above.
• Shall obtained experience under the direct observation of a Level 2 or Level 3 in the same method.
• Shall obtained experience under the direct observation of a level 1 or instructor only when approved by the Responsible Level 3.
• Shall not make accept or reject decisions.
• Shall not independently conduct tests.
• Shall not independently perform any other NDT functions.
• Other Duties As assigned

Education

SKILLS & ABILITIES

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience

• Able to read, write and understand English
• Able to follow verbal and written directions
• Able to lift/move up to 30 lbs
• NDT Trainee, not certified
• Ability to perform all NDT Trainee functions and tests

Other Physical Requirements

• Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth)
