Position
NDI Level III Technician located on‑site in Hamilton, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and follow procedures on non‑destructive testing processes.
- Coordinate customer approval / qualification activities.
- Coordinate Nadcap / OEM accreditation activities.
- Select the method and technique for a specific test.
- Provide guidance, training, and direction to other non‑destructive testing certified personnel.
- Ensure lower‑level employees follow procedures and produce finished products in accordance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and the JI Quality Management System (AS9100 Rev D).
- Troubleshoot inspection issues.
- Interface with engineers on new applications and products.
- Create and update inspection techniques for new and existing products.
- Apply LEAN principles to streamline process flow and increase efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain professional behavior under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, and collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Adhere to reliable attendance and punctuality policies.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident Status per 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3) because of ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; the company will assist with the application.
- Compliance with the Continuous Evaluation program and any required Government Access requirements.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, computer science, project management, or equivalent work experience.
- Level III certification in ultrasonic testing, eddy current, or penetrant testing.
- Experience evaluating ultrasonic pulse‑echo and through‑transmission C‑scan data of welds, composites, and metallic structures.
- Experience with fluorescent penetrant inspection of flight‑critical hardware.Experience conducting ultrasonic inspection of composite materials.
- At least five years of expert‑level experience managing production and manufacturing processes, customer interaction, and deadline management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven organizational, prioritization, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, and mentoring abilities.
- Knowledge of PC systems architecture and Windows operating systems.
Additional Information
- Wage range: $45–$80 per hour plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Additional pay for off‑shifts, off‑site work, and access pay.
- Wages will be determined based on experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
