Job summary

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries.

We are looking for an NDI Level II Technician to join our growing team.

Location: This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

Position: NDI Level II Technician

Responsibilities

The NDI Level II Technician performs calibrations, testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and records results. Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results, and work with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. They are responsible for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians. They organize and report results of NDT.

  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Conduct tests using A‑scan, B‑scan, and C‑scan methods to detect defects.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards, evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections.
  • May instruct and supervise others.
  • Perform other job‑related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Interface daily with management about work priorities and progress of projects.
  • Work closely with management to identify and remove obstacles.
  • Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (ITAR/EAR compliance).
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Janicki will assist with access once employed.
  • Continuous Evaluation program participation required.

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • RT Certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Additional Information

Wage range for this role is $25 – $45 per hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can receive additional pay for off‑shifts, off‑site work, and access pay.
