Job summary

Albany International Corp. seeks a seasoned NDT Team Leader to guide the Non-Destructive Testing organization, including Operations, Engineering, and the Responsible Level III, ensuring safe delivery of quality products and alignment with production objectives.

The role emphasizes leadership, staffing, budget management, and continuous improvement, with NAS410 compliance and strong cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within manufacturing, aerospace, quality, engineering, or operations.
• Cross-functional teamwork experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and people leadership skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the NDT organization, including Operations, Engineering, and Technical Authority.
• Develop and execute departmental goals aligned with safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
• Establish department priorities, staffing plans, succession planning, and employee development strategies.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Lead organizational change initiatives and support business growth through scalable NDT capabilities.
• Monitor key performance indicators and partner with other functions to resolve operational issues.
