NTN Bearing of America in Columbus, IN seeks an experienced machinist to produce parts to exact drawings and verbal requests. You will study blueprints, set up and operate manual machines, measure parts, and verify tolerances.

You will also assist with assembly and occasional welding and cutting operations as needed. Applicants should have 3–5 years in machining, a high school or trade school diploma, and ability to work overtime.

Formación

• Must have 3–5 years in Machining or related field.
• High school or trade school machine shop diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with moving mechanical parts.
• Overtime and variable schedule as production requires.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Study blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Measure and mark dimensions on material for machining.
• Set up and operate manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Adjust speeds, feeds, coolant, and cutting depths.
• Verify finished parts against specifications.
• Assemble machined parts into assemblies as needed.
• Inspect dimensions and alignment of assemblies and components.
• Operate welding equipment when required.
• Develop part specifications from descriptions and sketches.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production to resolve machining issues.
