Job summary

GE Vernova Operations LLC is seeking an NDE Engineering professional in Greenville, SC to develop, implement, and qualify non-destructive testing methods for gas and related product lines. The role involves collaboration with design engineering, qualification of NDT techniques, and applying materials science to detect defects.

The candidate will review deviations, author specs, and assist in training. Relocation may be provided, with a discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, NDE, or related field.
• 1+ years experience in a relevant field (co-op/internship or graduate research acceptable).
• Centrally certified (ASNT or equivalent) in one or more NDT methods, or willingness to pursue certification.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and technical integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and qualify NDE methods and procedures.
• Interface with Design Engineering to specify NDE techniques and limits.
• Qualification of NDT techniques at suppliers and in-house.
• Support training activities to accomplish qualification activities.
• Interpret NDE results and disposition materials based on inspection findings.
• Maintain state-of-the-art NDE methods and develop new capabilities.
• Apply material science to select appropriate NDE methods.
• Review and disposition component deviation requests.
• Author specifications and procedures, reviewing drawings.
• Perform failure analysis using NDE, fractography, and metallography.
