NDE Level III Technician (QDA) SG Inspections

Join to apply for the NDE Level III Technician (QDA) SG Inspections role at Westinghouse Electric Company.

We are currently hiring a NDE Level III (QDA) Technician for the Westinghouse Outage & Maintenance Services team. This individual will serve as a technical expert for Steam Generator and other tubing Eddy Current examinations/inspections, including BOP heat exchangers. The role involves interfacing with customer’s technical experts, conducting non-destructive examinations according to procedures, and interpreting results per standards and specifications.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Investigate and interpret industry standards, codes, and procedures to support customer and regulatory requirements in nuclear and non-nuclear sectors.
• Develop new techniques and inspection procedures; review and refine existing techniques to improve processes.
• Lead inspection teams and mentor lower-level inspectors to enhance NDE capabilities within the company.
• Support and prepare procedures and examination plans for NDE scope.
• Participate in training programs to maintain certifications and stay current with technology.
• Perform safety training and operate safety equipment in hazardous environments.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot NDE equipment, automated systems, and networks.
• Complete tasks with high quality, attention to detail, and proper documentation.
• Foster teamwork, customer service, and creative problem solving.

Who You Are

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s in engineering or related field preferred.
• Extensive experience in non-destructive inspections, with NDE Level III certification recognized by industry standards.
• Certifications: Nondestructive Level III capable to certify per WEC written practice, satisfying ASNT CP-189 and ASME Section XI.

Skills And Competencies

• Knowledge of NDE industry standards and codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
