Job summary

SCC Inspection is seeking a qualified NDT Level II UT Technician to perform calibrations, testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to code requirements and customer needs.

Roles include setting up and calibrating equipment, interpreting results, and training assistants. Prior UT testing and marine experience are preferred; candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Experience performing Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and other NDT methods.
• Background in marine vessels or related equipment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (email, MS Office) and data documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nondestructive testing (NDT) on materials and components using established methods.
• Perform UT testing and other NDT methods as required.
• Document and report test results accurately per client requirements.
• Manage inspection data, photos, and related materials securely.
