Acuren is seeking an NDE Level II MT/PT/UT Technician for our Salt Lake City, UT operations. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are preferred due to the role's nature.

Primary responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, performing MT/PT/UT tests, and ensuring safety and quality during inspections. The role requires a certified Level II with a solid technical background in NDT methods, plus experience in report writing and interpreting inspection results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II required.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Experience in report writing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
• Adhere to safety regulations during examinations.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs and readouts; assess conductivity and indicators.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• May instruct and supervise others.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
