Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Field Service Student Technician to gain hands-on experience in nondestructive examination. You will support inspection services across ultrasonics, eddy current, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant and visual exams in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with experienced examiners, learn industry codes, and contribute to field projects across Americas and EMEA markets while showing initiative and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a student and enrolled in a relevant program.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced examiners to prepare for field projects.
• Gain knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Look at our Americas and EMEA markets to understand where our next opportunities are.
• Take initiative on assigned tasks with little oversight.
• Engage with the strategic culture and employee engagement work we are doing across the business.
• Interact with leadership to gain insight into how the business operates.
• Work with our Reactor, Inservice Inspection, Balance of Plant and Steam Generator Examination teams.
• Candidate should be detail oriented, have a general understanding of NDE, and be a creative thinker.
