Qualifications

• NCCER certification required.
• 1–4 years of experience (level dependent).
• Ability to read field and engineering drawings.
• Proficient with power tools for pipe preparation.
• Knowledge of flanged connections and bolting.
• Able to read a tape measure.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen required.
• Compliance with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Selects and inspects safety gear before work tasks.
• Plans installation sequence to avoid obstructions.
• Cuts, threads, and bends pipe; assembles pipe fittings.
• Joins pipe with threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
• Installs refrigeration and air-conditioning piping systems.
• Tests piping systems for leaks; operates power tools.
• Performs assignments per supervisor's direction.
