Job summary

Southeast New Mexico College in Carlsbad, NM seeks experienced electricians to deliver NCCER Electrical Levels RTI for registered apprentices. In-person instruction uses NEC coverage and NCCER resources to build job-ready skills.

Responsibilities include course planning, lab setup, testing administration, and maintaining records with NCCER. Part-time schedule with campus and regional sites; benefits include medical, dental, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Documented journey-level status in Electrical (apprenticeship/licensing/equivalent).
• Current NCCER Certified Craft Instructor for Electrical or able to obtain before first class via ICTP/ATS.
• Ability to use NCCER systems (Learning Platform, Online Testing, Performance Evaluation, Registry) and follow testing/security procedures.
• Experience teaching, coaching, or conducting OJT/skills training for adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver RTI aligned to NCCER Electrical Levels 1–4, emphasizing safety and NEC application.
• Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, labs, and assessments using NCCER curriculum resources and NCCERconnect.
• Administer and proctor NCCER module tests and follow testing procedures.
• Record Performance Profiles and submit completions per policy.
• Maintain trainee records and submit NCCER Registry updates with sponsor coordination.
• Coordinate schedules, labs, materials, and PPE with the Director of Adult Education; ensure lab safety.
• Support apprenticeship compliance by tracking RTI attendance and hours per program standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and NCCER Accreditation guidelines.
