Job summary

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, is seeking a Crane Operator for projects in Washington, DC and Saluda, VA. The role requires NCCCO or CIC with LAT and TLL, a DOT medical card, and 5+ years of related crane experience. DC license for Blue Plains project is required.

Safety, precision, and adherence to load charts are essential. Responsibilities include pre-start checks, load handling, signaling, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience on bridge or utility projects preferred.
• Ability to read load charts and determine weight limits.
• Must pass NCCCO (or CIC) with LAT and TLL designations and have a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Check fluids before starting engine and level crane per chart.
• Ensure safe hoist movement and proper rigging signals.
• Operate crane within load chart parameters and use standard hand signals.
• Maintain crane and hoisting equipment and report defects.
