Spokane County is seeking a regular full-time Bridge Carpenter to perform general and technical bridge carpentry work, including crane and heavy equipment operation. The role requires knowledge of bridge components, drainage structures, and concrete construction, under supervision of the Bridge and Roadside Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential duties include replacing decking and railings, repairing culverts, and preparing sites for work.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; NCCCO certification required or obtainable.
• Three years of work experience; heavy equipment experience (backhoe, excavator) required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; CDL preferred or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Replaces decking, railings, bulkheads, wing walls, etc.
• Builds, repairs and replaces culverts; installs piping.
• Operates trucks and equipment; performs crane rigging; acts as relief crane operator as needed.
• Prepares job site, sets signs, closes work areas; performs concrete work and forms; builds and repairs fences and timber/ concrete structures.
