Job summary

New Castle Building Products is seeking a Boom Operator / Driver for our East Berlin, CT location. You will safely transport materials to client sites, load/unload at warehouses and customer locations, and assist with on-site material placement.

The role requires certification in articulated or knuckle boom, NCCCO, a CDL with Hazmat, OSHA 10, and forklift experience. Expect safety-focused operations and opportunities to contribute to efficient logistics.

Qualifications

• Must have Articulated Boom Crane or Knuckle Boom Certification.
• NCCCO certification.
• CDL Class A or B with Hazmat Endorsement.
• OSHA 10.
• Warehouse and truck mounted forklift experience.
• 2+ years Class A or B experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate boom to lift and move building materials to top of building.
• Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions.
• Determine load weights and ensure lifting capacities are not exceeded.
• Maintain cables, pulleys, and grappling devices; perform repairs as needed.
• Operate forklift safely with appropriate safety equipment.
• Frequent lifting of material up to 80 pounds.
• Support order fulfillment and dynamic warehouse operations.
• Maintain professional interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Adhere to all safety practices and attend safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
