Job summary

San Diego State University Athletics seeks a Compliance Coordinator to support monitoring, education, interpretation, and enforcement of NCAA rules across multiple sports. You will work under senior leadership to ensure adherence to regulations and assist with data management and reporting.

Collaborate with coaches, student-athletes, and campus partners to uphold the four pillars of Education, Interpretation, Enforcement, and Oversight within a Division I framework.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field; relevant education/experience may substitute for the required education.
• Progress toward/complete graduate degree is a plus.
• At least 6 months experience in a Division I NCAA compliance office.
• Experience with NCAA rules, especially recruiting.
• Experience writing correspondence and reporting statistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support compliance monitoring activities related to NCAA Bylaws 16 and 17, including playing and practice seasons, CARA/RARA, outside competition, awards, benefits, and summer workouts.
• Support recruiting compliance by reviewing visit documentation, monitoring activities, coordinating camps and clinics, and supporting admissions and clearance activities.
• Assist with compliance education by updating materials, coordinating presentations, and communicating NCAA calendars and policies.
• Support rules interpretation and enforcement by maintaining databases, researching NCAA/conference/SDSU rules, and assisting with waivers, allegations, and self-reports.
• Serve as a compliance liaison for assigned sports and collaborate with coaches and staff to ensure adherence to rules.
