Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support the Athletics Compliance Office, focusing on NCAA, conference, and university rules. The role involves monitoring seasons, awards, camps, recruiting, and outside competition while serving as a liaison for multiple sports.

You will work with coaches, student-athletes, and Athletics staff, contributing to education, interpretation, enforcement, and oversight within a Division I environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 6 months or more experience in a Division I NCAA compliance office.
• Basic knowledge of NCAA, conference, and SDSU rules (especially recruiting).
• Experience as an NCAA student-athlete.
• Experience with NCAA LSDBi and RSRO systems.
• Ability to organize and plan work and projects.
• Ability to create and maintain a database and report statistics.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support compliance monitoring activities related to NCAA Bylaws 16 and 17.
• Support recruiting compliance by reviewing visit documentation and coordinating camps and clinics.
• Assist with compliance education by preparing materials and coordinating training.
• Support rules interpretation and enforcement by maintaining databases and assisting senior staff.
• Serve as a compliance liaison for assigned sports and collaborate with coaches and staff.
