Responsibilities:
  1. Review, interpret, and program parts in accordance with customer GD&T and purchase order requirements.
  2. Design tooling and processes per the established programming plan for basic 3-axis part complexities.
  3. Work with Manufacturing/Application Engineers and provide feedback to Planning and Quality to improve and optimize production processes.
  4. Utilize Vericut verification software to ensure program integrity and first piece acceptance.
  5. Archive proven programs for use by the production team.
  6. Review PCDs and work with Quality to establish correct in-process verification guidelines.
  7. Participate in RCCA (Root Cause & Corrective Action) process.
  8. Manage time appropriately and respond quickly to all inquiries so that production, quality, and delivery schedules are met.
Job Levels and Responsibilities:
Level 1
  • Review, interpret, and program parts in accordance with customer GD&T and purchase order requirements.
  • Design tooling and processes for basic 3-axis parts.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing/Application Engineers, Planning, and Quality teams.
  • Use Vericut software to verify programs and ensure first piece acceptance.
  • Archive programs for production use.
  • Review PCDs and establish verification guidelines with Quality.
  • Participate in RCCA processes.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries to meet schedules.
Level 2
  • All Level 1 responsibilities.
  • Design tooling for mid-level 3 and 4-axis parts and basic 5-axis parts.
  • Achieve key performance metrics like First Pass Yield and cycle time within budget.
  • Support Level 1 Programmers as needed.
Level 3
  • All responsibilities of Levels 1 and 2.
  • Mentor and train Level 1 and 2 Programmers.
  • Design tooling for advanced 3, 4, & 5-axis parts.
  • Lead RCCA investigations.
