Job summary

Max-Aerostructures-LL in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to write and modify programs for multi-axis aerospace parts. You will use CATIA V5 and coordinate start-ups, troubleshooting, and tool selection to meet tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in CATIA V5 and five-axis CNC programming, blueprints reading, and strong math skills. High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years hands-on CATIA V5 programming for aerospace precision machined parts.
• More than 3 years experience programming five-axis CNC machines (plus 2 years machining preferred).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints/specifications and technical procedures.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to apply geometry/trigonometry to manufacturing problems.

Responsibilities

• Writes and/or modifies CNC programs and instruction sheets for multi-axis machined parts.
• Coordinates program start-ups in manufacturing, assists in troubleshooting and tool selection.
• Monitors program performance after implementation and makes adjustments as needed.
• Evaluates requests for new or modified programs for feasibility, cost, and time estimates.
• Maintains program files and analyzes/modifies existing programs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
