Dover Precision Components in Jeffersonville, IN is hiring for a NC Operator on 2nd shift. You will set up and operate NC/manual machines, inspect parts, and read blueprints to maintain tight tolerances. Some training on 1st shift may be required, and a quarterly bonus is available based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in shop math and blueprint reading.
• Computer skills including Windows-based software such as MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications.
• Performs machine set ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment.
• Obtains required inspections on first pieces and on in-process work with measurement devices.
• Selects cutting tools, attachments, and materials for machines.
• Examines and measures completed units to identify defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
• Operates fabrication machinery (Mazak/HAAS) and ensures proper setup per prints and specs.
• Detects errors with frequent tolerance and quality checks.
