Job summary

Choice Translating is seeking a Gujarati interpreter to join our freelance team in Charlotte, NC, on-site, with opportunities for VRI/OPI. Fully bilingual in Gujarati and English, you will interpret in real time, maintain confidentiality, and manage a flexible schedule.

Open to interpreters in North Carolina or other states for VRI/OPI opportunities. A high school diploma is required; college degree is preferred, and eligibility to work in the U.S. is needed.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual, fluent in Gujarati and English.
• Technologically proficient with video conferencing tools (Google Meet, MS Teams).
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. (Green Card or higher).
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real-time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow interpreters’ ethics and HIPAA guidelines.
• Manage a flexible schedule and accept appointments as needed.
• Provide on-site, video (VRI), or phone (OPI) interpretation.
• Be punctual, professional, and committed to high-quality work.
