Wake County Sheriff's Office in Raleigh, NC is seeking NC BLET certified Deputy Sheriffs. You will perform security for courts, transport prisoners, and respond to incidents across Wake County.

Position requires 12-hour rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends, with opportunities for education incentives. Starting pay is $28.62 per hour, with annual incentives for education, military experience, prior service, and language fluency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must complete NC BLET training and firearms certification.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Annual in-service training and equivalent education/experience accepted.

Responsabilités

• Provide security for the courts of the State of North Carolina.
• Transport prisoners and mental patients.
• Serve civil and criminal process as directed by the courts.
• Patrol Wake County, enforce laws, and respond to calls.
• Investigate crimes and assist allied agencies as needed.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts including holidays and weekends.
