Job summary

Benesch in Charlotte, NC seeks a Civil/Land Development Group Manager to lead our North Carolina practice. You will guide civil site and land development projects, coordinate with planning, design, permitting, and bidding teams, and strengthen key client relationships across public and private sectors.

This senior role emphasizes strategic leadership, mentorship of multidisciplinary engineers, and collaborations with landscape, transportation, structures, and more.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer licensure in North Carolina (or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 3 months).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Significant experience leading civil site and land development projects for public and/or private sector clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for NC practice, guiding multidisciplinary teams.
• Strengthen key client relationships and support business development.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams across planning, layout, SD/DD/CD design, permitting, bidding and construction administration.
