Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks individuals to serve as Chemical Operations Specialists, training to handle NBC detection and decontamination equipment and supporting disaster relief efforts. Participants will learn defensive procedures for NBC warfare, emergency planning, and how to coordinate with civilian agencies during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Interest in algebra, chemistry, physics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to plan and organize.
• Ability to work calmly under tremendous stress.

Responsibilities

• Provide training advice and supervision regarding CBRN equipment and operations.
• Assist in the application of NBC defense measures.
• Maintain disaster plans and coordinate with civilian personnel during emergencies.
