Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a NAVY/Watch Team Analyst to provide 24x7 real-time monitoring and incident analysis for the Client's Enterprise Network from Quantico, VA. The role requires Top Secret / SCI clearance and IAM Level I certification, with experience on watch teams and ITSM tools such as BMC Remedy and SharePoint.

The candidate will generate reports, support incident response, and coordinate with the Operations Watch Officer to maintain mission readiness in a high-pressure, 24/7

Qualifications

  • IAM Level I certification required (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP).
  • Background in IT business processes and cyber incident response.
  • Minimum 3 years of operations/watch team experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, detect, and act on events and incidents on the network.
  • Identify problems and take actions per SOPs.
  • Create formal reports and assign work requests.
  • Collect and analyse events from multiple sources and correlate data.
  • Advise the Operations Officer on best business processes.
  • Manage, track, and file all information Client receives and produces.
  • Assist in creating and distributing Daily Turnover Logs.
  • Serve as an action officer with knowledge of cyber incident response, event and change management.
  • Organize all client data per team procedures.
  • Provide Watch Team reports as needed.
  • Provide Executive level Watch Team briefings for client.

Job Title: NAVY/Watch Team Analyst

Location: On-Site, Quantico, VA

Clearance Level: Top Secret / SCI, Must Have Clearance to Start

Job Description

As a member of the Operations Watch Team, this role provides 24x7x365 real-time analysis of events and incidents on the Clients’ Enterprise Network. The position serves as a team consultant to the Operations Watch Officer, using IT service management tools to monitor, detect, and take immediate action on network events to ensure mission readiness.

The Candidate shall use Event Management Tools, BMC Remedy, SharePoint, and Service Operations tools to perform this task. The candidate will be expected to perform troubleshooting to support networking, servers, and applications incident support. The candidate will be expected to create Daily Turnover Logs entry in accordance with SOPs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor, detect, and take immediate action on events and incidents as they occur on the network.
  • Identify problems and take appropriate actions based on Operations Watch Team operating procedures.
  • Create formal reports and assign work requests to the proper group.
  • Collect and analyze events and incidents from multiple sources, correlating information between IT management tools.
  • Advise the Operations Officer on the best business processes to achieve desired results.
  • Manage, track, and file all information that the Client receives and produces.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of on-demand Situation Reports.
  • Create a Daily Turnover Log entry in accordance with Watch SOPs.
  • Serve as an action officer with knowledge of Cyber Incident response, event management, incident management, and change management.
  • Organize all client data based on team procedures.
  • Filer information quickly and easily to gain important information necessary for the Client to make decisions.
  • Provide Watch Team reports as needed.
  • Provide Executive level Watch Team briefings on behalf of the client.
Education & Background
  • Required Certifications: IAM Level I (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, or Security+ CE, HCISPP)
  • Background in IT business processes and cyber incident response.
Years of Experience

At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working on an operations staff, assisting the Watch Team Lead in gathering information, tracking incidents, and assisting with reports as required.

Required Skills
  • 3 Years related Watch Analyst experience.
  • Proficiency with ITSM tools such as BMC Remedy, SharePoint, and event management systems.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies for networking, servers, and applications.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, 24x7x365 shift-based environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with ITIL v4 framework.
  • Experience working directly with military leadership in an operational capacity.
  • Experience with Remedy ticketing system.
Working Conditions
  • Environmental Conditions: General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.
  • Strength Demands: 10 lbs. maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles such as office and/or IT equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Sitting for extended periods; walking and standing as needed; Regular use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, equipment operation, and other tasks; Visual acuity to perform computer work, review technical information, and operate standard office tools; Frequently communicates to perform job duties; Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or balancing.
