Vision Point Systems, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee corrosion prevention and control RDT&E for Navy/USMC programs.

The role is based in Fairfax, VA, with onsite work at DC metro labs as required, leading a multidisciplinary engineering team and driving technical solutions. The ideal candidate has a mechanical or materials engineering background, 6+ years of engineering experience, 2+ years of staff supervision, and 3+ years of project management, plus the ability to obtain a

• 6+ years of functional engineering experience.
• 2+ years supervising staff (informally or formally).
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• US citizenship required.

Job description

Vision Point Systems, Inc. is currently recruiting for a talented, innovative Engineering Managerto oversee efforts for its Navy/USMC Corrosion Prevention and Control RDT&E contracts. This position is housed in our Fairfax, VA office but qualified candidates mustbeingable to work onsite at various federal laboratories in the DC Metro area, whenrequired. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Laboratory test plan development

• Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results

• Identify,formulateand produce effective solutions to emerging problems

• Estimate budget and scope of project

• Field investigation

• Prepare product reports and documentation

• Data analysis

• Technical writing
• Oversee a multidisciplinary engineering staff and provide technical and day-to-day direction.

• Bachelor’s degreein mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or other similar engineering degree from an accredited university or college isrequired.
• 6+ years of functional engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience supervising staff (informally or formally).

• Qualified candidate must 3+ years of experience withdemonstratedaptitude with project management.

• The candidate must havedemonstratedprofessional writing and presentation skills along with an excellent ability to collaborate with a team.

• Candidates must be able to obtain andmaintaina Secret Security Clearance.Requires US Citizenship

• Must be willing to work in various labs in the DC metro area on a regular and irregular basis depending upon customerrequirements.

• Must collaborate and work well with multi-faceted teams.

• Candidate shoulddemonstrateskills where they can influence team members with or without a reporting relationship.

• Must be solutions oriented.

• Must be able to think through complex problems

Desired Skills:

• Experience working with and supporting US Navy, Army, and/or US Marine Corps programs is highly desired.

• Technicalexpertisein materials science/engineering (especially corrosion and coatings), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and military vehicles andshipsis desired.

• Experience with data analysis and statistics is a plus.
