Job summary

Vision Point Systems, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee corrosion prevention and control RDT&E programs for Navy/USMC contracts. The role is based in Fairfax, VA but requires onsite work at DC Metro area federal laboratories as needed.

Responsibilities include laboratory test planning, data analysis, and leading a multidisciplinary engineering team. A Bachelor’s in engineering and 6+ years of engineering experience are required, along with 2+ years of staff supervision and 3+

• 6+ years of functional engineering experience.

• Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills with strong collaboration abilities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and requires US Citizenship.
• Willingness to work in multiple DC metro area labs as required by customer,” or similar phrasing.

Vision Point Systems, Inc. is currently recruiting for a talented, innovative Engineering Manager to oversee efforts for its Navy/USMC Corrosion Prevention and Control RDT&E contracts. This position is housed in our Fairfax, VA office but qualified candidates must be able to work onsite at various federal laboratories in the DC Metro area when required.

• Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results
• Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems

• Oversee a multidisciplinary engineering staff and provide technical and day-to-day direction

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or a similar accredited engineering degree is required.
• 6+ years of functional engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience supervising staff (informally or formally).
• 3+ years of experience with demonstrated aptitude in project management.
• Demonstrated professional writing and presentation skills along with an excellent ability to collaborate with a team.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and requires US Citizenship.
• Must be willing to work in various labs in the DC metro area on a regular and irregular basis depending upon customer requirements.
• Must collaborate and work well with multi-faceted teams.
• Should demonstrate skills to influence team members with or without a reporting relationship.

Desired Skills

• Experience working with and supporting US Navy, Army, and/or US Marine Corps programs is highly desired.
• Technical expertise in materials science/engineering (especially corrosion and coatings), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and military vehicles and ships.
• Experience with data analysis and statistics is a plus.
