Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Rhode Island to lead PORTS program initiatives that support Navy training systems. You will coordinate between the Program Manager, customer, and project team to ensure schedules, budgets, and deliverables meet DoD requirements.

The role requires a US citizen with a DoD Secret clearance, 5+ years of management experience, and familiarity with software development projects. Travel up to 10% is expected, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
