Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC, based in San Diego, CA, seeks a Robotics Autonomous Systems (RAS) Analyst to support the Navy's MIREM program at SMWDC. The role focuses on bridging legacy unmanned systems with modern concepts of operations and exploring new systems to close warfighting gaps.

The candidate will develop exercise data plans, analyze results, and present findings to naval leadership. Onsite work, with up to 20% travel, and a required DoD security clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ten years of U.S. Navy experience related to mine countermeasure, autonomous systems, and warfare tasks.
• Three years of experience planning exercise activities.
• Experience briefing and debriefing submarine crews on exercise event plans and mission results.
• Experience in Navy data collection, mission data extraction, and post mission analysis.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and correspondence.
• Experience using analytical software such as MINEnet Tactical, MATLAB, SAS, and Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support new concept tactical development and emerging system analysis.
• Provide insight during workshops and respond to statistical queries of systems performance.
• Design test and data collection plans for exercises.
• Develop exercise messages and reports.
• Observe aboard exercise units to support doctrine and tactical development.
• Support reconstruction, analysis, and reporting of exercise objectives.
• Analyze exercise results per the Execution Plan.
• Communicate results to naval commands, labs, and program offices.
• Support doctrine / TTP validation and product modifications.
