Job summary

Lyntris is a defense technology company that connects sensing to action across the connected battlespace. This Electronics Engineer – Navy Electrical Ratings role focuses on Navy-focused IMI development and NAVEDTRA alignment, collaborating with ISDs, software engineers, 3D artists, graphic designers and technical leads to analyze, design, develop, test, and deliver Navy training products.

You will ensure accurate learning objectives, assessments, and media elements, participate in weekly design

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree. Additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Understanding of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, task-based analysis, scenario-based learning).
• Ability to interpret and apply NAVEDTRA standards and Navy training system requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear instructional strategies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct front-end analysis based on Navy requirements.
• Develop learning objectives, storyboards, scripts, branching scenarios, assessments, and IMI design specifications following NAVEDTRA guidelines.
• Transform complex technical information into clear, instructionally sound digital content.
• Assist Instructional Designers in designing and sequencing IMI modules.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Graphic Designers, and 3D Artists to implement instructional design in the final product.
• Develop mockups, flowcharts, and prototypes to communicate concepts.
• Ensure alignment with Navy training standards and CCDs, TLO/ELO frameworks, SCORM/xAPI requirements.
• Participate in design reviews with leadership and Navy stakeholders.
• Evaluate IMI effectiveness and improve based on data and feedback.
• Apply design thinking and performance-based instructional strategies.
