Job summary

VTG Defense seeks an Associate Financial Analyst in Washington, DC, hybrid role supporting NAVSEA 05I T&E. You will provide program and financial management support to the Director and T&E team, coordinating with Navy stakeholders on budgets, policies, and execution.

The role requires a Finance/Economics/Management degree, 3–5 years Navy/DoD financial experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance. Proficiency in NAVY ERP, PBIS, NEPS, and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in Navy/DOW Engineering and Financial Management processes.
• Must have active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to maintain one.
• Experience in NAVY ERP, PBIS and NEPS.
• Strong MS Office Suite and SharePoint exp.

Responsibilities

• Provide program and financial management support to NAVSEA 05I T&E Ranges clients regarding PPBE planning, programming, budgeting and execution.
• Coordinate with the Deputy Program Manager, Warfare Centers, NAVSEA Technical Authorities, PAEs and DON T&E stakeholders to support range-related practices and program risk reduction.
• Assist in establishing financial management policies and controls.
• Assist with development of program budgets and financial execution strategies.
• Review proposed improvements for cost and value to the government.
• Provide strategic planning and financial oversight for Program Reviews and execution.
• Participate with Warfare Center stakeholders to ensure funding execution meets milestones.
• Work with Navy clients on financial budget planning, including POM documentation and NEPS coordination.
• Provide strategic planning and all financial oversight for special program initiatives and policy implementations, including DAR-Q and Leadership Financial Reviews.
• Participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives to align with NAVSEA Comptroller.
• Provide financial analysis and acquisition management support in annual budgets (O&MN, OPN, WPN).
• Support reorganization and implementation of new policies to execute the new organization.
