Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Business Financial Analyst in the Norfolk area to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across Navy programs. You will work with BSMs, BSAs, and the Branch Head, coordinating funding actions, tracking expenditures, and delivering data-driven insights for decision-making.

The role emphasizes automation of reporting, use of Navy ERP/G-Invoicing, and collaboration with procurement and program teams to ensure compliance and optimal resource

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of experience conducting studies and preparing reports on feasibility and cost effectiveness.
• Knowledge of federal financial management principles, regulations, policies, procedures, and NWCF operations.
• Experience with federal acquisition and procurement processes (MILSTRIP, GPC, SAP) and related documentation.
• Experience with ERP systems and data visualization to support leadership decision making.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial planning, budgeting, execution, and tracking of the Operations Budget and assigned projects.
• Develop financial forecasts, spending plans, and budget projections to support workload planning and resource allocation.
• Create automated reporting tools, dashboards, and BI solutions using Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and ERP systems.
• Coordinate procurement actions and ensure compliance with DoD/Navy policies while monitoring funding and commitments.
• Provide recommendations to leadership by analyzing financial data and developing practical solutions.
