Job summary

Ignite Digital is seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager to lead a Navy-aligned governance program in the Norfolk, VA area. You will manage a team, shape strategy, and collaborate with senior leadership to define priorities, standards, and compliance across mission systems.

You will drive governance operations, quality, metadata oversight, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement in a federally aligned environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, including leadership or managerial responsibilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of data governance frameworks, policy development, data quality management, and metadata practices.
• Proven leadership skills, including team management and project oversight.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities across business, technical, and executive audiences.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting governance in regulated or federally aligned environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Navy’s enterprise data governance program and strategy.
• Partner with senior management to define governance priorities, objectives, and roadmaps.
• Develop and oversee governance frameworks, policies, standards, and stewardship models.
• Drive ownership, quality, metadata, lineage, and governance processes across systems.
