Job summary

US Navy seeks Cryptologic Technicians Interpretive (CTI) to collect, translate and analyze foreign language communications for national security and tactical operations. CTIs support fleet and Joint Force commanders worldwide in diverse environments and may deploy aboard ships and submarines as needed.

After Navy “A” School, CTIs receive intensive language and cryptologic training, with opportunities to advance in information warfare roles and language proficiency pay.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
• Perform temporary duty aboard Navy surface ships and submarines, based on assignment requirements.
