Job summary

US Navy seeks candidates for the Civil Engineer Collegiate Program in Tampa. You’ll gain hands-on experience across architecture, construction, environmental, water resources, geotechnical, hydraulic, surveying, structural, transportation engineering and community planning, with no service obligation until after you graduate.

The program includes stipends for education, naval training opportunities, and a path to becoming a commissioned Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer upon completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree—preferably in the field of civil, mechanical or electrical engineering

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction of runways, docks and buildings of all kinds
• Supervise and manage utilities and other critical services
• Manage skilled construction workers (Seabees)
• Arrange budgets and schedules
• Approve completed work
