Job summary

Joint Strategic Technologies (JST) is seeking an experienced Navy Acquisition Policy Expert to guide government contracts teams and monitor DON/DoW procurement guidance. The role is hybrid, with on-site days at the Navy Yard and competitive benefits.

The Policy SME will update training materials, manage records, and lead policy reviews to ensure compliant and efficient acquisition processes across programs and teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years as a DOW contract specialist (1102).
• Proven procurement policy experience within the last 15 years.
• DAWIA II / DOW contracting certification or CFCM preferred.
• Subject matter expertise in DOW acquisition policy, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on NDAA, GAO, and FAR/DFARS/NMCARS changes.
• Update guidance, distribute communications, and train staff.
• Maintain policies in the Confluence toolbox and related systems.
• Develop and deliver acquisition training for contracting workforce.
• Provide policy expertise for efficient resource development.
• Oversee a small team and manage project workloads.
