Riley Power group, LLC is hiring Tier I Structural Welders for multiple sites in the US, including Yemassee, SC. Responsibilities include welding with GMAW-SP and GMAW-P, reading drawings, and meeting NAVSEA quality standards. Candidates must pass weld tests and screening, with potential long shifts and OT.

Minimum experience is less than 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent; background checks and drug screens are required. Submarine and aircraft carrier parts experience is a plus.

Formación

• Minimum Less than 2 years of GMAW-P & GMAW-SP experience with High School diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/oversight;have working knowledge of precision calibration tools (weld gauges), be able to operate multiple types of welding equipment, and possess good trouble shooting / problem solving skills.
• Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work multiple shifts.
• Willing to work the schedule set by the client and all OT
• Able to read and interpret drawings, technique sheets and weld symbols.

Responsabilidades

• Weld tests will be conducted and must pass in accordance with NAVSEA requirements.
• Perform welding on carbon steel and related alloys to required tolerances.
• Determine weld sequence and read weld symbols from engineering drawings.
• Control heat input to minimize distortion and ensure first-time quality.
• Weld in multiple positions and handle vertical/horizontal welds as required.
