Job summary

JWF Industries, located in Johnstown, PA, seeks an experienced NAVSEA Engineer to support NAVSEA standards and defense manufacturing programs. You will oversee compliance, technical documentation, and project execution across engineering, quality, production, and supply chain teams.

The role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, and MIL-STD requirements, participating in design reviews, and driving corrective actions and continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with NAVSEA programs, DoD contracts, or defense manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and military specs.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-22, MIL-STD-2035, and related Tech Pub references is preferred.
• Experience with audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and contract documents to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate engineering activities across defense programs and production teams.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and risk management.
• Develop and maintain technical reports, procedures, and project records.
• Lead design reviews, customer meetings, and production readiness assessments.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and government representatives on technical matters.
• Assist with proposal development and technical estimating.
