Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer Tech to support construction quality assurance across NAVFAC Northwest projects. You will assist with project planning, procurement, and submittals, ensuring accurate information on site and timely distribution of documents.

The role requires a bachelor’s in construction management or civil engineering, 8+ years in federal QC, and NAVFAC/USACE experience. Travel to site locations and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• ,"Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; fifteen years federal construction experience may substitute.",
• Minimum eight years in federal construction quality control, with five years on NAVFAC or similar projects.
• USACE/NAVFAC training or certification preferred.
• Experience with NAVFAC Red Zone, eCMS, and RMS.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, NEPA, stormwater, and sustainable construction practices.
• Ability to travel and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce CQC plan per NAVFAC and UFGS.
• Conduct daily QC inspections and testing.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications.
• Maintain QC documentation and deficiency logs.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC, project managers, superintendents, and engineers.
• Oversee safety integration with QC and develop site safety plans.
• Monitor schedules and budgets for quality activities.
• Interface with labs and inspectors for material testing.
• Support change orders by documenting quality impacts.
• Analyze data and implement lessons learned from NAVFAC projects.
