Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions seeks a Project Engineer Tech to support NAVFAC Northwest AO projects. The role reports to the Quality Control Manager and provides on-site technical support, coordinating oversight of the Construction Quality Assurance Plan and project management applications.

You will assist with planning, procurement, submittals, and oversight of quality across construction activities. Strong leadership and detailed documentation are essential for success in a dynamic field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Fifteen years federal construction experience may substitute.
• Minimum of eight years in federal construction quality control, with five years on NAVFAC or similar projects.
• CQM-C certification and NAVFAC training preferred.
• Experience managing quality control on federal subcontracts and familiarity with NAVFAC processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce the CQC Plan in alignment with NAVFAC and UFGS.
• Conduct daily QC inspections, audits, and testing per plans and regs.
• Manage subcontractor performance; review submittals and certifications.
• Maintain QC documentation: daily reports, deficiency logs, punch lists, corrective actions.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC reps, project managers, superintendents, and engineers.
• Oversee site safety integration with QC; develop site safety plans.
• Monitor schedules and budgets related to QC activities.
• Interface with third-party labs; manage material testing.
• Support change orders with QA impact analysis and documentation.
• Analyze QC data and implement lessons learned from NAVFAC projects.
