Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures for developing, preparing, and forecasting cost estimates.
• Aware of general specifications for overhaul of surface ships (GSO).
• Proficient knowledge of Tech Flushing (MRG/CPP/SSDG), Tank Flushing (ECW, CHILL WTR, LPAIR), system drawings (rip out/install), system tech manuals (oil capacity).
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills to present accurate estimates.
• Knowledge of Shipyard Repair Industry regulations and standards (Rank, 009-09, 107,71,6,57).
• 1 year working federal government contracts or like industry.

Responsibilities

• Following company processes to analyze project requirements, plans, and specifications for preparation of compliant estimates.
• Evaluate and incorporate performance data into detailed cost estimates, including labor hours and material costs.
• Analyze, review, and get approval on all proposals and budget preparations.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the shipbuilding industry, including trends that impact our business operation and profitability.
• Strategically manage stakeholder expectations through the proposal process.
• Perform detailed analyses to prepare cost estimates and calculate gross profit margins, ensuring alignment with our company goals.
