Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense, formerly Hunt Valve Company, is seeking a Welder to support Navy valve fabrication on site. You will read and interpret drawings and procedures, and apply GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), FCAW, PAW, and semi-automatic welds under NAVSEA standards.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years in shop welding, with capability to perform qualification tests and read complex blueprints. Team collaboration and safety focus are essential in this growing defense contractor environment.

Qualifications

• MSSC CPT or similar certification preferred
• Read and interpret drawings and procedures
• Experience with a wide range of base metals and welding processes
• Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in accordance with procedures and the company's training program.
• Read and interpret detailed procedures/blueprints and use multiple welding processes to fabricate Navy valves.
• Perform Performance Qualification Testing & Certification to NAVSEA approved welding procedures.
• Perform other duties as required in connection with the position.
