Job summary

THOR Solutions seeks a Naval Mechanical Engineering Technician to support UNREP systems at NSWC PHD, based in Virginia Beach, VA. The role involves installation, maintenance, and collaboration with a team in a DoD environment.

You will review engineering drawings and manuals, assist with ECPs, and participate in factory acceptance testing. Travel is required to various Eastern US shipyards and potential overseas locations; DoD Secret clearance is preferred or eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of demonstrated Naval mechanical support experience preferred.
• Experience in a shipyard, contractor, or active-duty Navy environment preferred.
• Experience with UNREP equipment and hydraulics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical technician engineering services for installation and maintenance of UNREP systems.
• Review and input to Technical Manuals, Engineering Drawings and related documentation.
• Support logistics-related issues as needed and contribute to ECP inputs.
• Witness and report on factory acceptance testing.
