Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking an experienced technician for the COMNAVAIRPAC Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team in Norfolk, Virginia. The role includes troubleshooting and repairs on watertight closures and AFFF systems. Required qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, 6 years of related experience, and the ability to maintain a DoD Confidential Security Clearance. Qualifications

• High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience.
• Experience performing inspection, evaluation, repair, and training of watertight and airtight accesses.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% when not assigned to local tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, troubleshooting, and repairs on watertight & non-tight closures, AFFF systems, and valve overhaul.
• Develop and use technical documents including controlled work packages and reports.
• Complete comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools.
