Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport in Keyport, WA. You will help plan, coordinate, and execute the integration of hardware and software in a secure IT environment for unmanned underwater vehicle operations.

Work with government leadership and cross-functional technical teams to ensure delivery of integrated systems, test and deploy them, and provide clear technical briefings and concise documentation for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in IT/Engineering with 6–8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Current DoD 8140 compliant certification such as Network+, Security+, or CCNA.
• 3+ years of professional experience integrating hardware and software within networked IT environments.
• Experience implementing solutions using cloud computing services such as AWS.
• Broad understanding of the full lifecycle for integrating hardware and software into secure IT environments.
• Experience supporting system testing, phased deployments, implementation, and end user training.
• Experience facilitating technical working groups and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of hardware and software integration within a secure IT environment.
• Collaborate with government leadership and technical teams to ensure delivery of integrated system solutions.
• Prepare and deliver status updates, technical briefings, and reports for government leadership and project stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Support the full system lifecycle, including integration planning, testing, deployments, implementation, and transition activities.
• Document designs, integration plans, implementation activities, and system configurations.
• Facilitate technical working groups and coordinate across stakeholder organizations.
• Ensure integration activities align with cybersecurity, operational, and mission requirements.
• Support end-user training and knowledge transfer during system implementation.
