Job summary

PCI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator for a traveling role based out of Norfolk, VA. The position requires 50%–75% travel to U.S. Navy Fleet CONUS and OCONUS locations to deploy software, with residence within 50 miles of the Fleet Conservation location.

The job offers a hybrid remote status and requires a Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred). Responsibilities include installing, updating, and maintaining systems and CANES-related software, ensuring functional operation of HICS,

Qualifications

• Secret level security clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with CANES shipboard or afloat networks.
• Navy Information Systems Technician or Data Systems Technician background a plus.
• IAM-II certification or baseline Security+ per DoD 8570.01-M.
• Knowledge of computer and database management system design and implementation.
• Experience with MS development tools, analysis, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, update, troubleshoot, monitor, optimize and maintain systems/servers.
• Install and maintain application software per established standards.
• Verify HICS operation per System Operational Verification Test (SOVT).
• Test system hardware availability and efficiency; troubleshoot interfaces.
• Deploy HICS tasks/services to CANES sites; plan installation with points of contact.
• Develop and document HICS SOPs; maintain knowledge management apps (SharePoint, Dimensions).
• Plan backups, data restoration, and ensure OSHA compliance and safety standards.
