Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental (SSE) is seeking a Structural Engineer to support NAVFAC Northwest in Silverdale, WA. The role focuses on design and technical support for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects across Navy facilities.

You will perform structural analysis and design of building systems, coordinate with NAVFAC and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to UFC, IBC, and ASCE 7 standards. A strong communication skill set and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing applicable structural engineering tasks.
• Experience performing structural analysis and design of buildings and related structures.
• Experience with concrete, steel, and masonry design.
• Knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), International Building Code (IBC), and ASCE 7.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to successfully complete required background and security screening.
• Minimum of six (6) years of applicable Design Management and/or Design experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of building vertical and lateral force-resisting systems.
• Design retaining structures, utility structures, waterfront structures, and related structural systems.
• Design structural elements using concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Review technical reports, designs, RFIs, submittals, cost proposals, and construction documents.
• Provide technical recommendations and construction-phase engineering support.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC personnel, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams.
